An Invitation...
We, the family of Fairfield Reformed Church, invite you to worship and serve God with us. We are not a perfect people, nor are we without struggles, but we do trust in a perfect Savior, Jesus Christ. He makes us right with God, He fills our lives with joy, and He gives us a sure hope for eternal life in heaven.
In thinking about this invitation, it’s only fair that you first know something about us. What we try to emphasize most is a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We believe that we are a sinful people (just look at the world for evidence of this) and that this sin we commit separates us from God and makes us worthy of punishment. Yet, out of love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world in order to save us. This Jesus, when He was executed on a cross, took upon Himself God’s anger against our sin so that now, through faith in Him, our sins are forgiven and we are brought near to God.
Another thing that is important to us is the uncompromising authority of the Bible. We don’t try to explain away or ignore certain parts that may be difficult. Because it is God’s Word, we do our best, by His grace and strength, to live by all of it.
If you would like to hear more about the God who saved us and who gives us life, joy, peace, and hope, please come and visit us. He can give the same to you.
